WhatsApp is now testing a feature where users can delete the messages they sent to everyone as long as 2 days and 12 hours away, according to reports. Currently, the ability to delete messages for everybody is only available for about an hour after the message is sent.
WABetaInfo initially reported the new update two weeks ago when some WhatsApp beta users for Android 188.8.131.52 were able to delete messages within 2 days and 12 hours. Now, the same update is rolling out to WhatsApp beta for iOS 184.108.40.206 users, according to the WhatsApp information portal.
We know that the previous limit was 1 hour, 8 minutes, and 16 seconds but, as you can see in this screenshot, we tried to delete a message sent an hour ago, and the “Delete for everyone” option still appeared, so the feature for your WhatsApp account This is the best way to check if it is already available If ‘Delete for everyone doesn’t show up, don’t worry: there will be another beta update that will make the feature available for your account,” WABetaInfo said in announcing the new feature.
That is after it was discovered that WhatsApp is testing a function the place it can start permitting customers to share voice notes as standing updates. The Standing function on WhatsApp is the analog for the Tales function seen on different platforms like Instagram and has largely been restricted to photos, movies, and textual content updates. But it surely looks as if the platform is including extra flexibility to the function by including assistance for voice notes.
Earlier, the instant messaging service was implementing a wider rollout for this feature that would enable customers to switch their WhatsApp information from Android to iOS. The function was already accessible to some beta customers since June, but given the impression of being in beta testing, WhatsApp rolled it out to most customers this month.
