Apple iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura Public Beta Released: All Details

The Apple iOS 16 public beta is finally available for download after the tech giant unveiled a new software version during its WWDC 2022 Keynote in June. Apple has also released universal beta for iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, tvOS 16, and WatchOS 9. Users can register themselves on the Apple website to receive beta updates. The company is expected to release stable versions of these operating systems (OS) after this fall. With iOS 16, Apple is fixing the lock screen for iPhone 8 and later models.

The universal beta for iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, tvOS 16, and WatchOS 9 is now available for download for eligible Apple devices. Users wishing to receive beta updates of the above-mentioned OS versions can register themselves for the Apple Beta Software Program on the company’s website.

Users can “unenroll” themselves from the program by visiting the Apple website and following the steps highlighted by the company. Previously, the beta update was only available to members of the Apple Developer Program. The stable update is expected to be released shortly after its WWDC 2022 keynote unveiling in June.

The iOS 16 update will only be available for Apple iPhone 8 and later models. So much will come with a new and customizable lock screen and several new features. Users can now activate focus mode directly from the lock screen. iOS 16 will allow users to edit and/or retrieve sent messages. The mail app will also have a withdrawal function.

With the iPadOS 16, Apple is bringing a new multitasking interface to improve productivity, according to the company. Users will be able to resize the app window. Some features are thought to be exclusive to iPad models running on the M1 chip. The iPadOS 16 also comes with live text and look-up features.

Like the iPad OS 16, macOS Ventura comes with a redesigned multitasking interface called Stage Manager that lets users see a list of running apps in a window. The new macOS also has a continuum camera feature that will enable users to use their iPhone as a webcam for their MacBook.
